This hot little ASB backed Mayfly Nymph fly is a tweak on the proven Bead Head Pheasant Tail (PTN) nymph. We cut our teeth fishing Mays with PTNs and there’s no doubt it’s a trout slayer but its fragile legs & tail typically only lasted a fish or two before they were broken off. We wanted to keep the pattern as original as possible but we needed it to be durable, so we did what we do best and solved the problem with an invocative material swap. The result, a fish magnet mayfly nymph fly pattern the lasts!  The MaySB Mayfly Nymph is tied for you the same as we tie it for ourselves and currently available the two most common BC stillwater sizes!
