When the bows are tight lipped show them your hooters, cause they just can't resist our two tone hot orange & chartreuse D Cup (OCD) Booby Fly! We went through a ton of colour combos but kept coming back to this one cause it just plain works! And as usual, we tie it for you the exact same way we tie it for ourselves, on the same quality hook and with the same materials and tying technique so that you can expect the same great success with them on our beautiful BC Interior stillwater lakes. Chironomid larva, "bloodworms", are present and available to trout throughout the entire still water year, and therefore a staple food source that should not be ignored by anglers. Predominantly red in colour, but they do also have green and maroon phases. When the bows are being selective, which can often be the case, having the right colour will make all the difference! The BW2 Bloodworm is one of our go to chironomid larvae fly patterns and we tie it for you just like we tie it for ourselves including quality hook, bead and a full body coating of Krazy glue for sheen and durability!

A good all around cronie pattern, but an exceptional early hatch (pre gas up) imitator and late season bomber representation! A white bead gill for murky waters and a black bead version for clear stillwaters with picky bows. As with all of our flies, the Fireball chironomid is tied for you the exact same way we tie it for ourselves, utilizing high quality hooks, beads and the flyguys standard full body krazy glue finish!

The Goldie Lox is an evolution of attempts made over many years attempting to develop an optimal fly for this situation ... mission accomplished! An oldie but a goodie, the Peaches & Green chironomid pupae represents brown/olive chironomid pupae as they are just beginning to gas up to emerge. The brilliant white bead head does a great job representing gills, attracting trout and getting/keeping the fly in the zone. The body material "shape shifts" depending on how the light hits it adding to its allure!  As with all of our flies the P&G is the exact same pattern, tied the with the exact same materials and in the exact same manner (including a full coating of krazy glue!), as  we use ourselves here on the trophy trout waters of the beautiful BC Interior. The P&G  has proven it's self worthy over years of testing and is a must have in your chirony fly box! Tied on quality 2X hooks and available in four (4) sizes - #14, #16, #18 & #10 Bomber!

Ask any experienced fly fisher what their most productive dragonfly nymph pattern is and the vast majority will tell you it's the spun deer hair floating dragon. Ask those same fly fishers if they prefer to buy them or tie them and the vast majority will tell you that if you can find a quality pattern they are well worth the money to buy instead of tie! The flyguys Double Float Dragonfly Nymph is definitely a quality dragonfly nymph fly pattern that actually goes a step beyond the traditional proven spun deer hair dragon by incorporating additional form and flotation into the mix!  Dragonfly nymphs are big ticket food items that trout can't resist when presented naturally! Retrieve the Double Float Dragon right off the bottom on a full sinking line and hang on tight as the bows tend to slam this pattern hard as it floats along just off the bottom!
